The most beautiful stories ever told are those narrated by reality, remaining eternally alive in souls and imaginations. They embody cherished moments and unique deeds, preserved by time and passed down through generations, shining generously and fostering growth over the years.
Our story was crafted by insightful eyes, shaped by steady hands, and supported by faithful arms.
Our story was woven by wise minds, stitched together over long years, and nurtured by noble hearts.
It began with a simple yet grand initiative, conceived by five distinguished founders. They never hesitated to offer their utmost, sparing nothing in their service to persons with disabilities, with all the strength and courage they possessed—driven by passion, generosity, and merit.
Their gracious initiative was a radiant idea, inspired by life’s experiences.
They drew from it a luminous torch that illuminates the humanitarian needs of people, mending their spirits and filling their hearts with joy and delight.
Among them were those who worked in a physical therapy hospital, while others held various ministerial positions. Yet, transparent human sentiments drew them together, uniting them in cooperation, to paint hopes on faces and smiles on lips.
They spread warmth within fragile, weary souls.
They sowed joy in tender, pure hearts.
With their nurturing hands, they scattered seeds of goodness and love along the noblest path of giving.
They carved an indelible emblem and etched a mark that will never fade.
Our story is a journey of unceasing dedication and unwavering resolve.
Our story is rich, resilient in the face of hardship, steadfast in confronting challenges.
Our story believes in meticulous achievement, and in diligent, fruitful, constructive work.
Our story is defined by a commitment to altruism and devotion, and to giving generously, regardless of the sacrifices.

Position
It began in a modest traditional house, which—through the founders' earnest efforts—welcomed a number of complex cases who frequented the physical therapy hospital. These individuals required ongoing, comprehensive care: psychological and medical… educational and social… guidance and recreational.
A rare humanitarian initiative with few parallels at that time—more than half a century ago, specifically on May 23, 1971—when The Kuwait Society for the Handicapped was launched as a non-profit charitable organization under Law No. 24 of 1962 and its amendments concerning clubs and public benefit associations. It was the first society of its kind in the State of Kuwait to provide services to persons with disabilities, completely free of charge.

Launching KSH

Founding of KSH
The mission of establishment and building, followed by steadfastness and advancement, and moving forward with determination to overcome obstacles in pursuit of lofty goals—these endeavors require individuals with a profound forward-looking vision, possessing qualities commensurate with such challenges and obstacles, and endowed with leadership and pioneering traits. Such qualities grant them the ability to excel and endure arduous work, ensuring the sustainability and enrichment of their efforts.
This is precisely what distinguished the esteemed ladies and gentlemen, the early pioneers, who—out of faith and dedication—founded The Kuwait Society for the Handicapped, which was officially launched in 1971, by the grace of God first and foremost, and then through their benevolent efforts and noble endeavors, the impact of which continues to scatter roses, basil, and benevolence without interruption, by God’s aid and grace. This has been further enriched by the generosity and contributions of distinguished benefactors. With due respect to their titles—may God have mercy on those who have passed away and grant long life to those who remain—may God reward them on our behalf with the finest reward:
