Welcome to KSH

Our Story

Since 1971, the Kuwait Society for the Handicapped (KSH) has been a humanitarian and social landmark in Kuwait, starting with the care of 30 children with disabilities.

At KSH, we continue to provide comprehensive support through medical, psychological, social, educational, and rehabilitative services. We believe true empowerment begins with understanding and specialized care.

After more than five decades of impact, KSH continues to build on its rich legacy, striving to create a more inclusive society where persons with disabilities have real opportunities for independence, a meaningful life, and active participation in society.

Jahra Day Care Center
Building Expansion Project

Jahra Day Care Center
Building Expansion
Project

Status: Completed
Year of Completion: 2025
Project Capacity: 72 Students

Project Overview:
The Jahra Day Care Center Building Expansion Project aims to increase the center’s capacity and enable it to serve a larger number of children with disabilities. This was achieved through the construction of a fully integrated first floor comprising 9 additional classrooms, accommodating up to 72 additional students (with a maximum of 8 students per classroom).

The project was implemented in response to the growing demand for the specialized educational and rehabilitation services provided by the center, particularly following the closure of several specialized centers and schools in the Jahra area after the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, enrollment demand has increased significantly, with the center currently recording waiting lists exceeding 100 students, underscoring the project’s importance and its direct impact in meeting community needs.
